Concord, NH – The New Hampshire Lottery projects $1.15 billion will be up for grabs between Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing and Wednesday’s Powerball drawing. The Mega Millions jackpot is expected to reach $600 million, which would make it the fourth-largest Mega Millions jackpot in history. With the Powerball jackpot expected to reach $550 million, New Hampshire players will have two chances to become the state’s newest multimillionaire.

The Mega Millions one-time cash payout is estimated to increase to $442.4 million and the Powerball one-time cash payout is estimated to increase to $411.4 million. (Estimated jackpot amounts are determined before taxes are withheld.)

“This is only the second time in history that both Powerball and Mega Millions have simultaneously had jackpots exceeding $500 million, and our players could not be more excited. We have the fourth-largest Mega Millions jackpot in history and the Powerball jackpot is right on its heels!” said Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director, New Hampshire Lottery. “Players should get their tickets now to have a chance to win one or both of these enormous prizes. With 1,400 retailers across New Hampshire selling our tickets or you can purchase your tickets through NH iLottery, it cannot be any easier to play. We are hoping to have two big New Hampshire winners this week!”

A lucky New Hampshire player purchased a winning $100,000 Powerball ticket at the 7-Eleven on Center Street in Wolfeboro for the drawing this past Saturday night (1/9). A second lucky New Hampshire player purchased a winning $50,000 Powerball ticket for Saturday’s drawing (1/9) through NH iLottery.

Mega Millions drawing results from Friday, January 8, were: 3-6-16-18-58 MB-11 with a Megaplier of 2.
