CONCORD – The state Department of Health and Human Services announced 2 additional deaths related to COVID-19 on Wednesday. We offer our sympathies to the family and friends.

They were two women from Hillsborough County, 60 years of age and older.

The state also announced 20 new positive test results for COVID-19. There have now been 5,802 cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in New Hampshire. Several cases are still under investigation. Additional information from ongoing investigations will be incorporated into future COVID-19 updates. Of those with complete information, all were adults with 55% being female and 45% being male. The new cases reside in Hillsborough County other than Manchester and Nashua (2), Merrimack (2), Rockingham (2), Cheshire (1), Grafton (1), and Sullivan (1) Counties, and in the cities of Manchester (8) and Nashua (3).

No new hospitalized cases were identified for a total of 565 (10%) of 5,802 cases. Four of the new cases had no identified risk factors. Community-based transmission continues to occur in the State and has been identified in all counties. Most of the remaining cases have had close contact with a person with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis, or are associated with an outbreak setting.
