Fire damages Nashua residence

Nashua Fire Rescue responded to a reported building fire at 6 Cambridge Road late Saturday afternoon.

Engine 6 arrived to find a two-story, single-family, wood-frame building with smoke showing from the basement.

The bulk of the fire was extinguished 20 minutes from dispatch. The incident was fully under control with all searches complete (building clear of occupants) and all fire extinguished in 40 minutes from time of dispatch. Heavy fire damage occurred in the basement with heat and smoke damage throughout the first floor.

The Red Cross was requested to assist two adults displaced by the fire. No injuries were reported.
