Share Some Good News – April 13 – In-N-Out Burritos

By Staff | Apr 13, 2020

When out-of-staters think of New Hampshire, authentic Spanish food probably isn’t one of the first things that pop into their minds. That’s understandable. We are a bit north of “north of the border,” after all. However, the Granite State happens to be the home of a thriving and cherished Hispanic community, and dozens of amazing Spanish restaurants are located right here in Southern New Hampshire. One in particular that has been able to remain open for delivery and take out is the relatively new In-N-Out Burritos on Amherst Street in Nashua. They have made a very big impression since opening their doors in the Summer of 2019, and continue to do so during this chapter of the “New Normal.”

The menu is somewhat simplified but yields vibrant and delicious food that will have every patron anticipating their next order. From “Extras” like Carne Asada Fries (crispy French fries smothered in seasoned steak, cheese, and fixings), and Street Corn (char-grilled corn on the cob, drenched in butter and spices), there’s more than Chips & Salsa to start off with (although those are really good, too). Entrees call for your choice of a protein, fillings, salsa and a topping. Burritos, Burrito Bowls, Salads and Quesadillas can be packed with the likes of a vegetarian combo, chicken, steak, carnitas (pork) or Adobada (pork marinated in red chili sauce), up to three fillings that include but are not limited to cilantro rice, grilled onions and peppers, and guacamole, and various salsas (hot salsa, pico de gallo, and smokey corn pico, to name a few). Additional toppings such as jalapenos, sour cream, chipotle ranch and more can be selected as well. Tacos are served as a trio of homemade corn tortillas, and cover all of the bases, other than seafood. Pollo (chicken), Adobada, Nopal (vegetarian), Asada and Carnitas are your options, and come topped with fresh onions, cilantro, salsa, limes and radish. Kids’ tacos and quesadillas are also available, as well as beverages (Jarritos, fountain drinks, and Aguas Frescas- Horchata, Tamarindo or Jamaica). Micheladas (a zippy beer-based beverage made with lime juice, assorted sauces, spices, tomato juice, and chile peppers), sangria, and beer may be available through pickup, but does not appear to be an option with GrubHub or Door Dash.

The folks at In-N-Out Burritos are a shining example of resilience, hard work, and compassion. In the truest sense of community spirit, a Facebook post on their page from March 23rd read, “We know times are hard right now for many families, especially with the schools closed in our community. If anyone needs a meal for their children, please reach (out to) us and we will provide a meal that you can pick up.”

We can rest assured that they have our backs. Let’s have theirs by continuing to order from them.
