WHEN YOU’RE ON YOUR OWN, WE ARE THERE WITH YOU.

By Staff | Mar 30, 2020

Today, The Telegraph joins newspapers across the country in solidarity to remind civic leaders, residents and business owners that they are not alone in facing the COVID-19 epidemic, which we will overcome TOGETHER.

Just a few short weeks ago, we all were going about our daily lives without a care in the world, unaware of the looming worldwide health crisis that would consume our lives and change our all-too-comfortable routines for weeks or even months to come.

Through these uncertain times, The Telegraph – as it has for more than 187 years – has been there for you, bringing you the most up-to-date and accurate local reports about the COVID-19 ourbreak. While it is our duty to the community to report the facts about the spread of this serious threat to public health, it also is our responsibility to highlight the many good deeds that go on behind the scenes that help to protect us and make our new – but temporary – way of life more comfortable and pleasant.

From the good work being done by the United Way of Greater Nashua, our local chambers of commerce, clergy members and everyday citizens, Greater Nashua and the Souhegan Valley are full of generous, good-hearted, brave and wonderful people. This, of course, is something we have long known, but a crisis has a way of bringing that to the forefront of our collective consciousness. It reminds us how truly fortunate we are to live in such an amazing place.

On the front lines of this battle are our medical professionals, who are working tirelessly to treat and halt the spread of the coronavirus. So, too, are our elected officials, who have been working non-stop to educate and protect fellow citizens.

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu put it best when he said, “The resiliency and spirit of Granite Staters is unmatched. We work together as neighbors and friends. And when we work together as a community, we do it really, really well.”

Together, indeed, we will overcome this crisis, rebuild and return to normal.

Spanning nearly 20 decades, The Telegraph has navigated the choppy seas of world wars, local and national disasters, floods, assassinations of presidents and terrorist acts alongside members of this remarkable community. Through it all, we have persevered – together.

Our commitment to you never has been stronger, and we will continue to be there for you, providing local quality, fact-based, reliable and compelling reporting, each and every day.

When this pandemic passes (and it will) – in the words of famed U.S. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy – “The work begins anew. The hope rises again. And the dream lives on.”
