Publisher embraces Hudson-Litchfield community; new pages launch

By Heather Henline - Publisher | Feb 23, 2020

Welcome, dear readers, to the first installment of our Greater Hudson Hub pages, which debut in today’s Sunday Telegraph. We hope this will become your community connection to Hudson, Litchfield and beyond.

The Telegraph long has provided home delivery service along with an e-edition and digital access to those in the Greater Hudson area. Recently, the need for an outlet to disseminate local news came to the forefront for this part of the region, and we are stepping up to help.

The Telegraph is responding to that need by enhancing our daily coverage to better service Greater Hudson and by dedicating pages every Sunday to this area of our readership.

Today is just the beginning of what we hope will be a positive partnership in improving what admittedly has been lacking coverage of this area on the part of The Telegraph. As its publisher, I am affirming The Telegraph’s commitment to work with Greater Hudson leaders, businesses, nonprofit organizations, volunteer groups and citizens to:

• shine a spotlight on government,

• use these pages to focus on issues that are core to the community,

• and showcase all the positives of why someone wants to live, work, worship and recreate in Hudson-Litchfield.

We have committed to the Greater Hudson Chamber of Commerce as a sustaining sponsor for 2020, recently hosting a lunch and learn about keeping news alive in the region.

This task cannot be accomplished alone. For that reason, I invite all interested individuals to embrace The Telegraph’s motto: It’s Your Community! Help us make our pages reflective of that.

If you are interested in becoming a correspondent, submitting news, writing guest columns and, yes, supporting this journalistic endeavor by becoming an advertiser or subscriber, your partnership on this journey will help ensure Greater Hudson news coverage continues today, tomorrow and well into the future.

We want to do better, and with your engagement, we will. I may be reached at my office at 603-594-1204 or via email at hhenline@nashuatelegraph.com.

Thank you for your readership, for welcoming us into your home and for understanding the true value of local news.

Sincerely,

Publisher Heather Henline
