Alleged LSD, ‘magic mushrooms’ dealer among November Superior Court indictments

By Dean Shalhoup - Senior Staff Writer | Nov 26, 2019

NASHUA – Allegations of drug possession and sales, firearm theft, sexual assault and computer-assisted sex crimes are among the various charges on which the suspects were indicted this month.

The grand jury for Hillsborough County Superior Court-South’s November term handed up the indictments Friday, following their two-day session earlier in the week.

An indictment is not an indication, or proof of, guilt, but represents the Grand Jury’s determination that enough evidence exists for prosecutors to move the case forward in Superior Court.

Among the men and women indicted over the two-day period was Nashua resident Zachary Clegg-Marrama, 21, of 93 Ash St., Apt. A, who is accused of possessing and selling the controlled drugs lysergic acid diethylamide – LSD – and psilocin, a common ingredient in psychedelic mushrooms.

The grand jury indicted Marrama on 10 charges, eight of which accuse him of selling LSD or psilocin. The other two accuse him of possessing the drugs.

The charges, all felonies, all fall under the “controlled drug act – acts prohibited” statute, which is commonly applied to charges involving the possession or sale of illegal drugs.

Five of the eight indictments alleging sales accuse Clegg-Marrama of selling LSD to an undercover police officer on April 8 and 22; May 7; and Sept. 3 and 5.

The other three allege he sold quantities of psilocin to an undercover officer on Sept. 3, 5 and 10.

The two possession charges accuse Clegg-Marrama of possessing more than 10 grams of psilocin with the intent to distribute, and possessing a quantity of LSD, both on Sept. 10.
