By Dean Shalhoup - Senior Staff Writer | Aug 19, 2019

Telegraph photo by DEAN SHALHOUP "The Lady in Black," a charcoal drawing by 15-year-old Saadhui Raghav, was named Best in Show in the children's division in the Greeley Park Art Show, which concluded Sunday.

NASHUA – Fifteen-year-old artist Saadhui Raghav’s charcoal drawing “The Lady in Black” was voted best of show in the Student Division during the two-day Greeley Park Art Show, while longtime Nashua Area Artists’ Association member Marilene Sawaf was similarly honored for her mixed-media “Concert with Liz & Madeline.”

The show, which organizers said drew robust attendance on both days, featured roughly 60 artists who hailed from 28 cities or towns, mainly in Greater Nashua, but also from across New England.

Organized on the third weekend of August since shortly after it debuted some 66 years ago, the show has grown to include musical performances, interactive activities for children, and puppet and marionette shows, along with raffles and a silent auction that raises funds for the association’s various programs and its scholarships.

The organization has already begun looking forward to its 67th show, which is scheduled for Aug. 15-16, 2020.
