Gov. Sununu touts March job numbers
CONCORD – After the release of the March 2019 jobs report by New Hampshire Employment Security, which shows New Hampshire’s unemployment rate has remained steady at 2.4 percent, Gov. Chris Sununu issued a statement.
“Not since 1988 has New Hampshire seen such a record-setting streak of monthly unemployment rates at or below 2.5 percent,” Sununu said. “Today’s report is a reminder that our focus on growing and strengthening New Hampshire’s jobs market has positioned our economy to outperform national trends for the long haul. New Hampshire continues to buck the trends of the national economy, with a seasonally adjusted unemployment rate 1.4 percent lower than the national unemployment rate.”
