Family Loses Home, Pets in Fire
After a three-alarm fire took place at 3 a.m. Wednesday at 283 Greenville Road in New Ipswich, Leslie Griffin and members of her family search through the remains in hopes of salvaging what they can after the blaze. Griffin said all that remains are charred photos passed down from her grandparents. Late Wednesday morning, she said two family pets were lost: a cat named Jackie and a dog named Copper. The fire required aid from crews based in Milford, Mason, Temple, Greenville, Jaffrey, Peterborough and Southwest Fire Mutual Aid. Griffin and her family have been displaced, so for the time, they will be staying with friends and family.
