NH Rep. Espitia and Rep. Perez issue statement on Hispanic Heritage Month

CONCORD – To recognize the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, Representative Manny Espitia and Representative Maria Perez have released the following joint statement:
“Today begins Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the rich, vibrant history and culture of our Hispanic and Latino communities. It is also a time to honor the extraordinary contributions that Hispanic and Latino Americans have made here in the Granite State and all over this country. We have made groundbreaking discoveries in science and technology, we’ve created jobs as business-owners and innovators, we have made valuable contributions to art, music, and cuisine. And perhaps most importantly Hispanic and Latino voices here in the United States have always been at the forefront of advocating for social justice, worker’s rights, and civil rights.
“During National Hispanic Heritage Month, we proudly celebrate our community’s contributions and we honor the lives of the countless Hispanic and Latino leaders, innovators, artists, and change makers whose shoulders we stand on.”
