NASHUA – Michelle Henning’s fourth-grade students at New Searles Elementary School recently organized a Thanksgiving Food Drive for the Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter.

Each morning, Henning sent a few students throughout the school to collect donations. The class organized the food into pyramids in the school’s front entrance to encourage more donations.

The food drive was successful, and representatives of the Nashua Soup Kitchen were appreciative when they saw all donated items.
