CONCORD – The state Department of Health and Human Service announced 471 new positive test results for COVID-19 and three deaths Saturday, for a current PCR test positivity rate of 3.6%.

DHHS has also announced three additional deaths related to COVID-19. One of the three deaths announced today occurred earlier in 2021 and was recently confirmed as related to COVID-19.We offer our sympathies to the family and friends.

1 female resident of Coos County, 60 years of age and older,

1 male resident of Merrimack County, fewer than 60 years of age,

1 male resident of Rockingham County, 60 years of age and older.

Today’s results include 300 people who tested positive by PCR test and 171 who tested positive by antigen test. There are now 3,689 current COVID-19 cases diagnosed in New Hampshire. Of the results reported today:

Ø 4/9: 471 new cases

Several cases are still under investigation. Additional information from ongoing investigations will be incorporated into future COVID-19 updates. Of those with complete information, there are one hundred and one individuals under the age of 18 and the rest are adults with 51% being female and 49% being male. The new cases reside in Rockingham (115), Hillsborough County other than Manchester and Nashua (68), Strafford (58), Grafton (49), Belknap (26), Merrimack (25), Cheshire (15), Sullivan (10), Carroll (9), and Coos (8) counties, and in the cities of Nashua (38) and Manchester (28). The county of residence is being determined for twenty-two new cases.

Community-based transmission continues to occur in the State and has been identified in all counties. Of those with complete risk information, most of the cases have had close contact with a person with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis.

There are currently 110 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19. In New Hampshire since the start of the pandemic, there have been a total of 88,446 cases of COVID-19 diagnosed.
