Community Arts Ministry to offer classes, workshops and events designed for all

By Staff | Jun 19, 2021

MERRIMACK – The connection between spirituality and the arts is ancient and never more needed. As families struggle to spend meaningful time together and as churches struggle to meet the changing needs of both their churched and unchurched neighbors, the St. James United Methodist Church is launching a new Community Arts Ministry.

Starting in September, the Community Arts Ministry will offer classes, workshops and events designed for children, youth and families within and beyond the church to connect with God through their creativity. Weekly Kindermusik classes for young children; puppetry, painting, and a six-week clown school for adults and youth; spiritual journaling and clay expressions for adults; and a variety of fun, hands-on activities for families are some of the programs already scheduled.

An Open House will be held on Sunday, July 25, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the St. James United Methodist Church, 646 Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack. For more information call 603-424-7459, e-mail communityartsministry@gmail.com, visit www.stjames-umchurch.org or find us on Facebook.
