MANCHESTER – In February, NH Roller Derby and NHRD’s head official Melissa Griffin, also known as Officially Mel, organized a series of clinics directed toward education for Non-Skating Officials in the sport of Roller Derby. The clinics were attended by roller derby officials all over the world. These clinics, which were presented live online, were for anyone interested in learning how to be a Non-Skating Official (NSO), any current NSOs wanting a refresher, or any skaters that want to learn how it all works behind the scenes.

The clinics were free but donations were being accepted with part donation to our local NAACP in Manchester, NH in honor of Black History Month. With donations collected, NHRD was able to raise $200 for the NAACP.

NH Roller Derby’s mission is to promote women’s athleticism while giving back to the local community.

The NAACP’s mission is to secure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights in order to eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and well-being of all persons.
