Poetry Corner

Oh woe is me, how can it be, I am so full of miseree

The sun don’t shine, I’m out of wine,

And haven’t got a single dime.

So to the pawn shop I will go

To try to get a little dough.

And when I do, and the day is done

You and I will have some fun,

For I will surely share my rum!

But have no fear,

If the rum I cannot get

There’s always good old “Buddy” beer.

So don’t despair, else you’ll lose your hair!

The sun is out, and all is well.

Those wicked bugs are almost gone –

As we’re told by “No. 1”!

So my friend until we meet,

Stay well. Stay safe,

And don’t forget to wash your……..feet!

Eileen F. Motivala

a sliver of a thought

pressed into word

yet formless

how to express

tumultuous

titans clash

on a battlefield of opinion

facts blurred with sway

it’s all too much

and not enough at once

palms to temples

to hold it in

don’t touch your face

inhale exhale

cloth to capture

counting the days

down

make a change

return to a same

to begin again
