Girls Inc. raises $51K at socially distanced event
NASHUA – Girls Inc. of New Hampshire hosted 30 teams at its second annual Granite State Golf Challenge on August 10, 2020 at the Nashua Country Club, raising more than $51,000. All proceeds will go toward helping Girls Inc. continue its mission of inspiring girls during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“During these unprecedented times, we are so incredibly thankful for the community members who showed their support for Girls Inc., and our mission, whether they played golf or purchased a sponsorship,” said Sharron McCarthy, chief executive officer, Girls Inc. of New Hampshire.
“The funds we raised will be vital as we continue to welcome girls to our centers, providing them with routine and comfort in unparalleled circumstances. It’s more important than ever that we continue our mission of helping girls across the state – and we are grateful to everyone who participated, helping us do just that.”
Girls Inc. high school participants volunteered at the event, helping with parking, giving out gift bags at registration, and distributing water to golfers on the course.
