“Today I had the privilege of awarding C/Colonel Gabe Buxton and the AFJROTC Cadets the Distinguished Unit Award for SY19-20. This is the first time in program history we have earned this award. It is given to a top unit that exceeds excellence by supporting its school and community through volunteering, competing in Drill competition and maintaining a high standard of academics and physical fitness. I couldn’t be more proud of Gabe for leading this program and being a mentor to all the younger cadets. His leadership and presence will be missed.”
