YMCA of Greater Nashua names Julianne Simendinger as chief development officer

NASHUA – Julianne Simendinger has joined the YMCA of Greater Nashua as chief development officer.

Simendinger brings with her nearly a decade of fundraising experience in the nonprofit sector, most recently as senior director of development at Valley of the Sun YMCA in Phoenix, Arizona.

She began her YMCA career with Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA in Philadelphia, and has been an active volunteer with the North American YMCA Development Conference, leading development workshops. In addition, she served on the board of directors for the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Greater Arizona Chapter. Simendinger earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics, from Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.

“We are pleased that Julianne is leading our development efforts. She brings a strong background in fundraising in her years serving YMCAs in Pennsylvania and most recently in Arizona. Our YMCA has enjoyed a period of strong growth in our programs, services and community impact. Our staff and Board are looking forward to working with Julianne as we increase our philanthropic support to better serve the community,” said Mike LaChance, CEO of YMCA of Greater Nashua.

In her position with the YMCA, Simendinger will lead the organization in its development efforts. She will work with staff and volunteers to elevate all streams of fundraising for the YMCA of Greater Nashua, including the annual support campaign, major gift fundraising, corporate gifts, capital campaigns, and planned giving.
