Brookline Garden Club to hold plant sale on June 1

By Staff | May 23, 2013

BROOKLINE – The Brookline Garden Club will host its annual plant sale at the Brookline Ball Park on Route 130 starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, June 1.

The club will sell perennials that have prospered in club members’ own gardens – and have proved to survive New England winters – as well as fresh herbs and a few select annuals. Prices start at $1.

The club will stock many of the large 2-gallon-size plants (most for only $5) that many of their customers prefer, such as hosta, Solomon Seal, Bleeding Heart, Rudbeckia and Echinacea.

Also, the club will accept your old nursery pots and flats; the town dump won’t accept them for recycling. No broken pots will be accepted.
