Compass expands into four states

BEDFORD – Compass Healthcare Advisers, a company that helps employers, employees and insurers save money on rising health care costs, is expanding its SmartShopper and ChoiceRewards programs to service clients across four states.

Compass’ SmartShopper and ChoiceRewards programs give employees tools to engage in health care decisions with personalized program design and Health Cost Advisers.

Compass, founded in 2009, started in Manchester and recently has expanded to advise clients in four states, across a variety of industries, including government agencies, educational institutes, manufacturers, nonprofits, banks, automobile dealers and legal firms. Since its inception, the company said it has saved clients more than $600,000 in health care costs.

The company advises members where to shop for medical and diagnostic procedures.

When members choose to have a procedure done at a location identified by Compass, they receive a cash incentive from their employer.

Compass programs in Kentucky plus more clients in New Hampshire and Connecticut launched Sept. 1. New clients in New Hampshire include RJ Boudreau Associates, Easter Seals, NH Catholic Charities, Remcon, NH Plastics, The Moore Center and E&R Cleaners. Compass’ programs also launched in Indiana earlier this year.
