(Courtesy of Nashua Historical Society) Cows are in the yard in front of what was once the Amherst Road school, a so-called "suburban school" in an area known as No. 6 district, in this circa 1900 photo that's part of the Nashua Historical Society's Frank Ingalls Collection. Due to a lack of students -- enrollment was down to three in 1899 -- the school was closed after just seven years. The building, built in 1892, still stands today; it is now the home of Dorina's Psychic Studio.
