Longtime Hudsonians – or Hudsonites, if one prefers – probably recognize this stretch of Lowell Road as the location of present-day Suzie's Diner, which would be at far right, next to the variety store that was then called Hall's Market. The Phillips 66 gas station in the background is now a Sunoco station. A guess is the photo was taken in the early to mid-1970s. Judging from the angle, the photographer was standing at, or near, the intersection of Birch Street, which today runs alongside the plaza anchored by T-Bones and has a traffic light at its intersection with Lowell Road.
