Greater Nashua Flashback

By Staff | Jan 16, 2021

Some of the buildings have changed, or have been replaced, but the Milford Oval looks pretty much the same today as it did when this photo was taken, which, judging from the many vehicles parked along the edge of the Oval, was sometime in the 1930s. The photographer was standing, perhaps on a balcony or in a second-floor window, on the west side of the Oval looking east, toward the intersection of Nashua and Union streets. Groups of people appear to be participating in some type of service, or speaking program, which may have been part of a Memorial Day or Veterans Day observance. (From the Telegraph archives)
