NASHUA – A police investigation into sexual assault allegations reported some 18 months ago has yielded an arrest, police said.

Norman McKay, 59, of 108-D Walnut St., was taken into custody around 4 p.m. Friday on an active warrant for his arrest, police said.

McKay is charged with two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, both special felonies, and one count of sexual assault, a Class A misdemeanor.

He was booked on the charges at police headquarters, then transported to Valley Street jail in Manchester. Police said McKay was ordered held in jail on $200 cash bail pending arraignment, which is scheduled for this afternoon in Hillsborough County Superior Court South.

Police said the investigation into the case began on May 4, 2018, when patrol officers were called to a local hospital to take a report of a possible sexual assault.

They said the officers spoke with an unidentified female who accused McKay of sexually assaulting her earlier that night.
