Police, AG investigating two Nashua deaths; autopsies scheduled Monday

NASHUA – Autopsies have been scheduled for Monday on the bodies of two people found deceased around midday Sunday in a townhouse on Millwright Drive.

A brief statement issued by the Attorney General’s office Sunday afternoon said Nashua police are investigating what appear to be “untimely deaths” of two people at 219 Millwright Drive, which is in a large condo and apartment complex off Amherst Street in the northwest part of the city.

Authorities said they are withholding the names of the two people pending Monday’s autopsies, which will be performed at the state Medical Examiner’s office.

The decedents’ genders and the nature of their relationship were also not released as of Sunday night.

Assistant Attorney General John Kennedy did say authorities believe the incident is self-contained, and there doesn’t appear to be any threat of danger to the public.

Nashua police were reportedly called to the residence Sunday morning by someone asking them to check on the welfare of people at the townhouse.

Unable to gain entry to the residence, police requested the assistance of Nashua firefighters, who were able to force entry.

Several additional officers and detectives began arriving at the residence, which by then had been cordoned off with yellow tape.

The Nashua police crime scene van arrived a short time later, and police were seen photographing a car parked in the driveway.
