Tillotson Fund awards $358K in North Country grants
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire Charitable Foundation fund that supports North Country organizations recently awarded 16 grants totaling more than $358,000.
The Tillotson Fund is helping kids get backpacks filled with nutritious food to keep them full for the weekend. It’s also helping with a new marketing campaign for mountain-biking opportunities in Coos County, and with operating support for a theater program. The $60,000, two-year grant will go toward the Friends of the Colonial Theatre in Bethlehem.
Established in 2006, the Tillotson Fund is one of the largest permanent rural philanthropies in the country, distributing more than $3 million in grants annually to support projects that focus on community revitalization.
