Portsmouth gives green light to mosque

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) — The Planning Board has given the green light for construction of a mosque with parking for 60 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
The Islamic Society of the Seacoast received the unanimous approval last week of its site plan and conditional use permit.
The Portsmouth Herald reports that documents filed with the city indicate the total cost of the project is estimated to be $492,600.
About 100 people on average attend worship services. The Islamic Society already has a facility that it’ll continue to operate in Dover.
