3 U of New Hampshire football players charged in assault

DURHAM, N.H. (AP) — Police say three University of New Hampshire football players are accused of assaulting people inside a fraternity house last weekend in Durham.
The three have each been charged with a count of riot.
WMUR-TV reports police say Quinlen Dean, Kyle Hamper and Jackson Housman have each been charged with a count of riot.
Police say the men entered the Sigma Alpha Epsilon house early Jan. 26 and assaulted the people inside.
UNH spokeswoman Erika Mantz says the university is viewing the charges in accordance with its procedures and “will take all appropriate steps via the conduct process to ensure the safety and well-being of our campus community.”
The three men could not be reached for comment. They are due in court later this month.
