Wilton-Lyndeborough Cooperative has undertaken the huge challenge of initiating a new schedule, changing from a block schedule to a period-based schedule. Block scheduling consisted of four 90-minute classes every day that changed each semester.

Free H1N1 clinics to start next week

The state’s first series of free public clinics offering the H1N1 swine flu vaccine will begin next week, but a five-hour event at the Manchester Health Department on Tuesday will be the closest to Nashua. The H1N1 vaccine is taken considerably longer to produce that had originally been expected.

If you looked closely at the silk flag that was until recently hanging at the side of the Lyndeborough Town Hall stage, you’d notice something different. It has 48 stars, which means it’s been there since at least 1958 – Alaska was admitted as a state Jan.

Town’s cannon needs vote to be moved

The old iron cannon that’s been on the South Lyndeborough Village Common for 75 years was moved a few weeks ago, but selectmen learned last week that the move may be illegal. The cannon was put on the common by town vote, and therefore requires a town vote to be moved, according to a pair of residents who have done research on the weapon.
