Alvirne High School has adopted a new college application program called Naviance, an innovative tool that allows everything to be sent from the high school to colleges electronically, including applications, supplements, fees, letters of recommendation and transcripts.

Cell phones have improved interactions among all people regardless of distances, but these devices have also become a distraction in high schools.

The state’s first series of free public clinics offering the H1N1 swine flu vaccine will begin next week, but a five-hour event at the Manchester Health Department on Tuesday will be the closest to Nashua. The H1N1 vaccine is taken considerably longer to produce that had originally been expected.

HUDSON – The 24-year-old man who was seriously injured during a car crash Thursday night is stable at a Boston hospital. James Parker, of Hudson, was taken to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and later transferred to the Boston Medical Center with life-threatening injuries following the crash Thursday night, police said.
