Warm winter items await making from yarn for the taking

The weather outside is delightful, next it’s more like frightful, with record-low temperatures, gusty winds and ‘frost on the pumpkin,’ all signs Mother Nature is making plans to welcome Old Man Winter. Now is the time to prepare, for some folks to knit and/or crochet hats, mittens, scarves, etc. to share with adults and children less fortunate. A local thrift shop’s inventory has produced a generous quantity of yarn the Mailbag is helping to ‘hook up with’ groups or individuals.
