GYMNASTICS

NSG Level 4 takes 4th at state meet

Nashua School of Gymnastics Levels 4-10 gymnasts participated in the State Meet in Stratham. Level 5 finished fourth while Level 4 was eighth.

Level 4 (Ages 6-7)

Amanda Beauregard had an All Around Score of 36.15 (9th); she scored a 9.225 (5th) on vault, 8.4 on bars, 9.2 (7th) on beam and 9.325 (1st) on floor.

Cristina Cross had an All Around Score of 35.425; she scored a 9.2 (6th) on vault, 9.075 (6th) on bars, 8.15 on beam and 9.0 (9th) on floor.

Casey Orner had an All Around Score of 35.3; she scored a 8.25 on vault, 9.0 (8th) on bars, 9.125 (8th) on beam and 8.925 (10th ) on floor.

Sue Mai White had an All Around Score of 36.775 (9th); she scored a 9.325 (3rd ) on vault, 9.275 (7th) on bars, 9.075 (9th place) on beam and 9.1 (13th) on floor.

Megan Middlemiss qualified for Regionals with an All Around score of 35.475 (3rd); she scored a 9.025 on vault, 8.65 (4thT) on bars, 9.00 (3rd) on beam and 8.80 (4th) on floor.

Level 9 (Senior B)

Laura Maggioli qualified for Regionals with an All Around score of 34.675 (3rd); she scored an 8.55 on vault, 8.45 (1st) on bars, 8.85 (2nd) on beam and 8.825 (2nd) on floor.

Taylor Christiansen had an All Around score of 31.20; she scored an 8.15 on vault, 7.00 on bars, 7.90 on beam and 8.15 on floor.

Level 10 (Senior)

Molly Fitzpatrick scored 9.20 (1st) on vault and 8.75 on floor. She qualified as a Regional Vault Specialist.

The Prep-Optional teams from Nashua School of Gymnastics competed the weekend of March 24-25 at Brestyan’s American Gymnastics in Burlington, Mass.

Rookie

(Age Division A)

Rishita Sanikommu had an all-around score of 37.40 (1st). She scored 9.40 (2nd) on vault, 9.50 (1st) on bars, 9.25 (2nd) on beam, 9.25 (4th) on floor.

Kendra Faxon had an all-around score of 33.90 (13th). She scored 9.05 on vault, 8.40 on bars, 7.90 on beam, 8.55 on floor.

SUMMER CAMPS

Nashua Parks & Rec.

Swim lesson registration open

The Nashua Parks & Recreation Department is now accepting summer swim lesson registrations. Registration forms will be available at the Recreation Office in Greeley Park and online at www.gonashua.com.

Parents can sign up their child for two of the three sessions prior to July 6. After July 6, registrations will be accepted for remaining session(s). Swim lessons are $20 per child or a maximum of $60 per family per session. Each session runs two weeks and lessons are one-half hour in length. All lessons take place between 9 a.m.-noon. Session dates are: June 25-July 6; July 16-27; and Aug. 6-17

Sign ups for sports/study camps now underway

Registration forms are available at all Nashua private and public schools at the main office, Nashua Public Library, City Clerks Office at City Hall, Jeannotte’s Market, Bright Spot Convenience Store, and at the Recreation Office at Greeley Park.

A registration form can be downloaded from the city Web site at www.gonashua.com as well as a complete listing of all the summer camps being offered.

Summer camps include basketball, football, soccer, baseball, drama, volleyball, field hockey, ice hockey, archery, tennis, cheerleading, lacrosse, skateboarding, science camps, cooking and track & field. New camps include art/drawing, Wicked Cool for Kids and yoga. Call the recreation office at 589-3370 with any questions.

Nashua PAL/Elks

Registration dates set for Force, Crusaders

Registration for the 2012 flag football, tackle football and spirit for Nashua PAL Force and Nashua Elks Crusaders is set for Saturday, April 14 from 9-11 a.m. at the Elm Street Middle School.

It is mandatory that participants also register online with the state officials at http://leagueathletics.com/Registration/Defaultasp?snid=jBMCZ1O7X&org=nhyfsc.org.

2012 PAL football camps scheduled for June

The Nashua PAL Force City Football Camp, a week-long camp which focuses on strength and speed technique along with the dynamics of offensive and defensive positions, is scheduled for June 11-15 from 6-8:30 p.m. each day at Artillery Field (behind Holman Stadium).

All participants must currently be in grades 2-7. There is a $20 cost per participant.

The NPF Position Specific Camps, which focus more on fundamental and techniques of specific offensive and defensive positions along with more one-on-one instructional time are schedules as follows:

Offensive skills positions of quarterback, receivers and running backs, along with defensive the positions of linebackers, safeties and corners on June 18 and 19 at Artillery Field (behind Holman Stadium) from 6-8:30 p.m. All participants must currently be in grades 2-7. There is a $10 cost per participant.

Offensive and defensive linemen on June 21 and 22 from 6-8:30 p.m. at Artillery Field (behind Holman Stadium). All participants must currently be in grades 2-7.
