Telegraph Winter All Stars: Motivala, Shea share top boys indoor track honors

Boys Indoor Track Co-Player of the Year:

Devin Motivala, sr., Nashua North

Devin Motivala’s crowning achievement came in winning the 1,000-meter race in the Division I championships in February. Winning by then had become second nature to this Titan senior. Throughout the regular season, Motivala had been entered in races as brief as the 600 and as long as the 3,000 and placed first at every distance.

Kevin Shea, sr., Nashua South

Kevin Shea crushed the competition in the high jump, regularly recording 6-feet, 6-inch marks while threatening the state record. This Panther senior won the Division I championship by 4 inches over his nearest competitor, and beat the top DII competitor by the same 4 inches. For good measure, Shea finished second in the 55 hurdles in DI as well. The versatile Shea even placed in the shot put this season.
