Spinners will take Defenders' tickets

American Defenders of New Hampshire fans left holding tickets for future games haven't struck out. They can now see a higher quality of baseball for the same price of their Defenders' tickets.

The Lowell Spinners will honor all Defenders' home game tickets dated Aug. 24 until the end of the season. These tickets are good for standing-room-only access to a Spinners home game.

The Spinners announced the plan Wednesday, just a day after the city of Nashua locked the Defenders out of Holman Stadium for failing to pay rent and the bill for police and fire detail. The lock out effectively spelled the end of the Defenders in Nashua after one lackluster season.

The Defenders will play the remaining six games of their schedule on the road.
