Nashua 15s win two

Nashua’s 15-year-old Babe Ruth All Stars opened the state tournament in Goffstown with a pair of victories.

Nashua posted a 1-0 decision over the host team Thursday, and topped Londonderry on Friday, 10-0, in a game shortened to five innings by the mercy rule.

In the Thursday win, Noah Ouelette took the win on the mound, allowing four hits and striking out six.

Mike Pelletier and C.J. Mellon each had two hits and Connor Mullaly had the deciding RBI.

Mullaly took the win on the mound Friday against Londonderry, allowing one hit and striking out eight.

Carter Cormier worked an inning and struck out the side.

Cormier, Ouelette, Sam Maden and Jeremiah Latham each had two hits.

Nashua will continue its tournament run Sunday at 11 a.m. at Goffstown’s Lyons Field.
