Silver Knights 2

Jonathan Salcedo went 1 for 3 with a home run, sparking the Brockton Rox to a 5-2 victory over the Nashua Silver Knights on Wednesday at Campanelli Stadium.

Salcedo homered in the second inning.

Jon Pusateri put together a nice outing on the mound for the Rox. The Silver Knights managed just one hit off of Pusateri, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his four innings of work.

Matt Coppens got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Coppens struck out two, walked none and gave up no hits.

Tom Hudon (0-2) was the game’s losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.

The Silver Knights are home Thursday to face North Shore at Holman Stadium at 7:05 p.m. San Diego Chargers defensive end and Nashua North alum Kendall Reyes will be signing autographs and throwing the ceremonial first pitch.
