NASHUA – The Nashua Silver Knights had four players named to next Tuesday’s annual Futures Collegiate League All-Star Game at Pittsfield’s Wahconah Park.

The teams were divided into the Pittsfield Hillies and Pittsfield Electrics, to honor the western Massachusetts team’s baseball history. Those were two teams playing in Pittsfield in the early 1900s.

Nashua has two position players on the Electrics – catcher Dylan Jones, who is hitting .340, and outfielder Kyle Sandstrom, at .308 going into Tuesday night’s game vs. North Shore.

Players were nominated by each team and then managers voted on Monday night.

The Electrics also have two Silver Knight pitchers, both New Hampshire residents – Derry’s George Welch, a reliever who has struck out 27 in 15.1 innings, and Bedford’s Pat Harrington, who at 2-2 is in the top six in the league in earned run average at 2.48.

There are no Silver Knights on the Hillies. There is a chance another Silver Knight could be added as there is an on-line vote to add one more player to the game. Fans can go to twitter, @FuturesLeague, and Instagram, @Futuresleagueofnewengland to vote.
