The best men’s lacrosse season in the history of Rivier University came to an end on Tuesday as the Raiders fell 17-10 to Lasell in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference semifinals in Newton, Mass.

The Raiders (12-4) fell behind 4-0 and that set the tone. They were led by Rob Fullerton’s three goals, and two by Dylan McSparren. Single goals were by Eric Guinasso, Corey Hicks, Colby Larsen, Chris Pennie and Jake Genest.

Matt Cloutman had 13 saves in goal for Rivier, which graduates 10 seniors. James Anderson (six goals) and Ryan Madden led Lasell with four goals.
