High School Highlights

Despite pummeling the Belmont goal with 25 shots – including a dozen on net – Campbell just could not find the range and fell to 3-4 on the season. Tyler Grant delivered a solid defensive game for the Cougars, who head to Mascenic Tuesday.

Exeter 3, Merrimack 1

Abby Morgan had the lone goal for Merrimack, which fell to 2-5. Sam Page, Gigi Wood and Sara Wozniak all played well for the Tomahawks in defeat.

Nashua South 6, Spaulding 0

Taylor Mohler and Laura Galvez each scored twice to help South move to 4-1 on the year. Roya Ardeheli and Coryn Flavin added single goals. Maddy Duda and Tara Saliany played superb defense in front of Kendra Santoro, who posted the shutout.

Hollis Brookline 5,

Manchester West 0

The Cavaliers improved to 3-4 with a 5-0 win over visiting and winless Manchester West (0-6-1). Emma Ruvido (one goal) opened the scoring by collecting a long change of field pass from Kelsey Sweeney (two assists) and finishing beautifully to far post. Madeleine McCann (two goals) then took a pass from Becca Ide (one assist) and ripped one from 25 yards that just dipped into the far corner. In the second half, Sweeney again delivered a well-placed ball, this time to Tasha White (one goal, one assist), who attacked into the box at pace with a defender on each hip and finished quickly with power into the back of the net. Minutes later, White served a corner headed home by McCann. Paisely Broadhurst (one goal) finished an attack started by Megan Flannery (one assist) and AshLynn Hoey (one assist) with a phenomenal turn and finish inside the box. Alma Masic was impressive in goal for West, with 19 saves, while Izzy LeBlanc had two saves for the Cavs.


Concord 193, South 199, Timb 210

T.J. Gillis earned medalist honors for his 1-under par 34 on the Prairie Course at Greenmeadow CC, helping Nashua South to a split in the tri-meet. The other South scorers were Spencer Durand 39, Nick Valli 41, Alexis St. Laurent 42 and Adam Kelleher 43. South, now 4-8, is at Spaulding on Tuesday.

Belmont 204, Campbell 205, Laconia 244, Fall Mountain 249

James Cardello carded a 48 and Tyler Myers chipped in a 49 as Campbell nailed down a pair of wins in a 4-team match at the par-36 Canterbury Country Club.

Milford 227, John Stark 228,

Pembroke 233, Bishop Brady 237

Milford improved to 8-4 on the year with a sweep at Amherst Country Club. Hunter Hoffman led the way with a 44. Ben Lopez and Jamie Pare were right there in the mix at 45. Ryan Arsenault carded a 46, and Jacob Dube rounded out the balanced effort at 47.

Field Hockey

Exeter 1, South 0

Nashua South got another amazing performance in goal by Paige Murphy with 20 saves, but the Panthers fell to 0-6 with the loss to Exeter. Hannah Hansen, Katherine Tello, Maddie Sewade, Kirsten McIntire and Abbey Rowe all played well for South, which tries again Monday vs. Londonderry.
