Del Patton’s four hits included a triple as he spearheaded the efforts of PSE over the locksmiths.

Paul Archer added three hits for the winners and Zeke Zarakotas, Mike Reilly, Harold Murphy, Clarence Farwell and Glen Waugaman all chipped in with a pair apiece. Dick Gillespie’s 4 for 4 day led CLK and Steve Brzozowski banged out three hits. Leo Melanson, Bruce Landry, Alan Hallee and Bill Katopoulis brought a pair of hits of their own.

M&N Sports 7, Amherst Auto 6

Mighty Chuck Hamel came to the plate in the bottom of the seventh with the bases loaded in a tie

game and got enough aluminum on the ball to drive home Len Rapone for a walk-off win over the mechanics. Al Abele, George Mosnicka and Rod Robuccio all had three-hit games for M&N. Al Ross led Amherst with three singles and Thom Riley, Jim Edwards and Rich Hoeker all brought two-hit efforts to the contest.

Art’s Painting 9, Jok’s Auto Sales 3

Manager Jerry Ferullo showed his players the way with a four-hit day, missing only a home run

to complete the cycle. Murph Albert continued his hot hitting with a trio of safeties and Carl Seidel, Rich Stockdale, Don Fusco and Dan Birck all added a pair of hits for the brush boys. Don LeBrun provided the offensive muscle for Jok’s with three hits and John Cebrowski added a pair to the cause.

Dr. Dionne’s Seniors 12, Hanson’s 0

Manager Dale Stearns pitched a nifty game, allowing just seven hits to lead his mates to the runaway victory over Hanson’s. Bob Lamontagne homered and tripled among his three hits and Ron Monteiro also had three hits for the winners while Bob Larose, Ken Rousseau and Don Smith added a pair. Paul Nickerson was the pace setter for Hanson’s with a pair of singles.

Calvary Lock & Key 13, Art’s Painting 12

13 was the lucky number for CLK as Alan Hallee smacked out a walk-off bases loaded

double to settle this match against the painters. Dick Gillespie (4 for 4), Leo Melanson (3 for

4) and Wally Hedlund (3 for 4) also brought the big bats for CLK. Don Fusco homered for the

losers and Rich Stockdale and Dan Birck also aided Art’s with 3 for 3 performances.

Peter Burr had it working this day throwing a seven-hit shutout and batting 3 for 3 to pace his team over M&N. Zeke Zarakotas and Mike Reilly also added a pair to the task. George Mosnicka was alone amongst his mates with two hits to take hitting honors for M&N.
