Tryouts for the 2015 Nashua Baseball Academy teams will be held Sunday and also on Sept. 14 at the Baseball Academy, rain or shine, at 265 Proctor Hill Road in Hollis.
Tryouts are at 9 a.m. for the 10U, 11U and 12U age groups. Tryouts are at 10:30 a.m. for ages 13U-19U.
The following teams will be competing in 2015: 10U New Hampshire Diamond Devils, 11U NH Diamond Devils, 12U NH Diamond Devils, 13U New Hampshire Knights, 14U NH Knights, 15 to 19 Senior NH Knights
All ages are determined on May 1, 2015. There is a $25 tryout fee.

Nashua Babe Ruth
The Nashua Parks & Recreation Department will be running a Fall Babe Ruth Baseball League for current Babe Ruth and Ray Oban players who will be league age 14 and 15 years next spring. Games will be played on the weekends starting after Labor Day and running through mid-October. Cost of this league is $20 for the fall season. There will be no tryouts, and players will be assigned to teams.
Registration forms are available at the Parks & Recreation Office in Greeley Park or can be downloaded from the Park-Rec website at gonashua.com. For more information, call 589-3370.
The second day of the 2015 New Hampshire Grizzlies Baseball team tryouts will be held on Sunday at Campbell High School in Litchfield.
The times for different age groups are as follows: 11-12-year-olds, 9-11 a.m.; 13- and 14-year-olds, 12-2 p.m., and ages 15-16, 3-5 p.m.
Registration is a half hour before the scheduled tryout time. Players should bring all equipment necessary to play their positions. A parent/guardian must attend, and there is a $35 tryout fee.

Registration for the Nashua Youth Soccer League fall season is now ongoing and will close Aug. 30. Any registrations received after that date may be put on a waiting list.
The league is open to boys and girls in Nashua and surrounding towns, born between Oct. 1, 1995 and Sept. 30, 2009. The season is tentatively set to begin Sept. 6.

Local baseball coach John Roper has launched a website called sporttryouts.com for coaches and organizations, local and nationally, to list events, camps, tryouts and other information. The University of New Hampshire gymnastics program will offer gymnastics classes for the community on Wednesday afternoons at the UNH Field House from Sept. 3-Dec. 10. Classes of all levels for boys and girls are taught in a safe, progressive manner.
The fall session, which is open for children ages 3 and going through eighth grade, features two separate class times: 4:15-5:15 p.m. (Session A) and 5:15-6:15 p.m. (Session B). Each session costs $175.00 plus a $20.00 registration fee if not already paid for the 2014-15 school year.

The Bedford Girls Softball League is currently accepting registrations for its fall ball program that goes from after Labor Day until Nov. 1.
Those interested may currently sign up at www.bedfordsoftball.com. Regular registration for girls born between Jan. 1, 1997 and dec. 31, 2004 is $75 ($55 for players using their spring uniforms), with a late fee of $20 added after Aug. 17. There will be skills development with practices once a week and games on Saturdays.
BGSL recently enjoyed the league’s 40th anniversary, a successful Spring Rec season in the Souhegan Valley League and its inaugural 12U and 10U Tournament All -Star teams qualifying for the state tournament.
Merrimack Youth Baseball will hold open elections for the upcoming board of directors on Thursday, Sept. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the MYA Building at 487 Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack.
The following positions are up for election: Three vice president positions, treasurer, financial secretary and two league player representatives. These positions all have two-year terms.
