Elks Crusaders 5th-Graders still perfect
Nashua Elks Crusaders 12, Laconia 0
The Nashua Crusaders 5th-Grade team improved to 3-0 with a recent 12-0 win over Laconia at Stellos Stadium.
The Crusaders sealed their second consecutive shutout of the season with great defensive line play by Dillon Walton, Javonte Lopez, Cody Goode, Matthew Harding and Eddie Virella.
Vincent Falcone led the way offensively with two touchdowns, one on a punt return and the second on a and a fourth-and-goal run.
5th-Grade: Force 45, Milford 0
Adam Noone, Bryson Borromeo, Kayleen O’Day, Lola Cabray, Brady Sullivan and Reagan Brunet helped shut down the Milford Mustangs. Mekhi Gerrin and Xavier Jalbert recovered fumbles, while Jack Peters, Toby Brown and Zach Connerty sacked the Mustang quarterbacks.
Nashua touchdowns were abundant with Ryan Flynn, Charlie Bellavance, Amaury Almonte, Rashaan Alexis and Derek Finlay (three TDs) all reaching the end zone.
Patrick Keegan, Finlay and Almonte all powered through for extra points. Jordan Rodriguez, Reid Lavoie, Dimitriz Sanchez and Xavier Francis played well on the offensive line while Andrew Wallace kicked well.
Ethan Preston-Teixeira, Dario McAnespie and Mirolqui Tavarez finished the game with strong defensive line play to ensure the shutout.
7th-Grade: Force 41, Milford 7
Julian Gonzalez had a 55-yard catch and run for a touchdown and also had an interception return for a score to pace the unbeaten PAL Force 7th-Graders.
Robbie Long kicked one extra point and ran the ball in for an extra point. Justin Edwards recovered a wild snap from the Mustangs in the end zone allowing him to score a touchdown for the Force (3-0) .
Travis Holbrook, Spencer Whiting, Max Ackerman, Julian Henry, Andrew Curtain and Aiden Bashor blocked well along with Joseph Risteen, Aaron Roche, Corey O’Day, Jacob Sansoucie and Jessie Nijuguna.
All that blocking helped backs Helin, Chris Acevedo, Drew Fleury and Tommy Kelly get some running room.
Defensively, Jayden Espinal, Maxwell Ackerman, Xavier Provost, Brian Alyward and Robbie Long all were dominant and recorded multiple sacks.
Aiden Bashor added a strip sack and O’Day made a nice sack for a 7 yd for the Mustangs. Spencer Whiting also made some great tackles.
Eddie Bracetty had a fumble recovery off of a blocked punt while Travis Holbrook and Devin Bracetty also recovered fumbles. Nashua hosts Goffstown next at Stellos Stadium.
3rd-Grade: Force tops Milford
The Pal Force Third Grade defeated the Milford Mustangs as Jayce Cora began the scoring with the first TD run off an Adrian Cruz handoff. Christopher Beaudion ran a left side sweep gaining an extra point.
Linc Vanderhorst recorded a sack while Jake Homsy, Patrick Zelanes, Benjamin Kelly and Warren Farley also applied pressure.
Ryan Clancy ran well to set up Cora’s second TD while Ian Gillis also recovered a fumble in the second quarter.
Linc Vanderhorst ran for the third score as Homsy got Nashua’s extra point behind blocking by Aivan Garcia, Adyn Prowker and Adrian Cruz.
Cora scored a third TD, protected by the blocking of Cameron Silva, Kendric Petravic, Kobe Perry, Noah Rebelo, Logan Briggs and Connor Johnston.
Homsy ended the scoring with a 61-yard TD run. Nashua hosts Goffstown on Sunday.
