Merrimack info night
The Merrimack Youth Association’s youth wrestling program will be hosting an information night on Oct. 7 in the Merrimack Middle School gymnasium from 6-7:30 p.m.
The program is open to Merrimack boys and girls in grades K-6. Come meet the coaches and learn about the program.
Prospective wrestlers, if dressed in shorts/sweats and a t-shirt, will get a chance to get on the mats for a couple of wrestling games. For more information, visit www.myawrestling.com.

Nashua Fall Babe Ruth
The Nashua Park-Recreation Department’s Fall Babe Ruth baseball program is underway. All current Babe Ruth players age 13 and 14 are eligible to play. There will be practices during the week and games on the weekend. The cost is $20. Registration forms are available on line at gonashua.com or at the Park-Rec office in Greeley Park at 100 Concord St.
Basketball
Nighthawks Basketball Tryouts
The Nashua Nighthawks travel basketball program will be holding tryouts for the 2015-2016 basketball season on Oct. 3 at Nashua Sports Academy at 90 Northwest Boulevard. Tryout times have yet to be announced.
Also, there are two coach openings for the third and fourth grade boys and sixth grade girls.

Special events
Nashua Park-Rec Bruins trip
The Nashua Park-Recreation Department will sponsor a trip to the 7 p.m. Dec. 29 Boston Bruins-Ottawa Senators game at the TD Garden.
There are only 35 tickets available. Cost is $135 per person and includes a coach bus ride. The bus will leave Greeley Park at 4 p.m. All game seats are in the balcony, Section 326.
All public trips require a $30 non-refundable deposit per person. For information, call the Nashua Park-Recreation Department at 589-3370.
Those interested can also register in person at the Park-Rec office in Greeley Park at 100 Concord St.

The Nashua Elks Crusaders, a non-profit youth football and cheer organization, is seeking help from the community in purchasing new equipment and uniforms.
