Locals shine at New Englands
Executive Club swimmers Matt Grauslys, Trent Levasseur, Grant Levasseur and Alex Bedard set a New England Record for the 400 meter medley relay while swimming in the New England Senior Championships at Brown University recently.
In the process, they qualified for and then competed for the Junior National meet held in San Antonio.
Swimming a 3:56.77, they were the only New England team to compete. Matthew Grauslys competed at the Senior Nationals the following week, breaking his New England record from March in the 100 meter Butterfly with a 54.49.
He also swam a best time of 24.02 in the 50 meter freestyle.
At the Brown meet, Molly Fitzpatrick set a New England record in the Open Division of the 200 meter breaststroke with a time of 2:35.92.
Executive, with 35 qualified swimmers, sent its largest team. Area swimmers competing were: Bedard, 1:06.68 100 Breaststroke, Margaret Dean (100 Butterfly), Matthew Falcone (finalist 100 and 200 Breaststrokes), Isabella Geskos, Tyler Howard, Kerry McCann, Kaitlyn McManus, Mary Rego, Keelin Kendall (A final 100 breaststroke, 1:16.35). Area swimmers competing at the New England Age Group Championships at Harvard for Executive were Casi Glejzer, Ethan Lim, Katelyn Rakiey, Kylie Donoghue and Maya Ruvido.
Lindsey Wagner attended the Speedo Futures Championships in Greenboro, N.C. She swam the 50 free (27.37), 100 free (1:00.96), and 100 backstroke (1:07.10).
Area Executive swimmers Aidan Daudier (Milford), and Miles Lim (Amherst) competed for
the New England Zone team in Richmond, Va.
