Keene sweeps BG, North

Nashua North Brandon Gillis had the round of the day for locals with an even-par 35 at Bretwood Golf Course in Keene, but the Titans and fellow Gate City golfers from Bishop Guertin couldn’t overcome a strong team effort by the host Blackbirds.

Keene scored a 192 on the day, handing BG its first loss of the season by one stroke. The Cardinals 193 was 10 shots better than Gillis’ Titans (1-3), who finished with a 203.

BG was led by Chelsea Sedlar’s 36, while Tom Ethier and Ryan Montbleau posted solid a 37 and 38, respectively. Cam Sheedy (40), Ryan Fitzgerald (42) and Morgan DiPasquale (42) rounded out BG scorers.

Joining Gillis on the scoresheet was Mike Jensen (39), Tom Hyland (41), Brian Provencher (42) and Ryan Marvin (46).
