Manchester Central 2, Alvirne 1

The Broncos dropped a heartbreaker in their season opener, as the Little Green (1-1) rallied from a 1-0 deficit with two goals in the final 20 minutes, including Evan MacDonald’s game-winner at the 70 minute mark. Alvirne sophomore Nate Gosselin scored his team’s only goal on a penalty kick at 12:53 of the second half. Also playing well for Alvirne were Andrew Teague and Matt Lubinski, while goalie Jake Schofield had 10 saves.
