Caroline Fischer is Girls Track Athlete of the Year

The Cardinals distance phenom added to her own amazing legend on the track this spring. At the Division I State Meet, Fischer did the unthinkable, racking up 30 points alone by winning titles in the 800, 1600 and 3200 meters. She then went on to the Meet of Champions and cracked the elusive five-minute barrier in the 1600, running a stunning 4:54.67.
