High School Highlights: Nashua North baseball tops Merrimack

Trevor Kelly struck out five in four innings of one-hit baseball to pick up the win for the Titans, now 2-3. Kelly also went 2 for 4 with a pair of RBIs. James Bolton tripled and singled, adding a run scored. Zach Iannone’s clutch two-out triple gave North the lead for good. He was 2 for 4 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Bishop Guertin 4,

Central 1

Mark McGaughey was ultra-sharp in his first mound start of the year. He went four scoreless innings, striking out four and allowing five hits. Stephen McClendon got the win in relief, going 2.1 innings and fanning three. Alex George roped a pair of doubles, driving in three runs. Sam Boudreau walked, singled, doubled and scored twice. Taylor Proulx and Billy Gonya had big doubles for the 5-0 Cards.

Souhegan 12,

Pembroke 7

Souhegan jumped out with six runs in the top of the first and never trailed, improving to 2-3. Jacob Grassett battled through five innings for the win. Adam Levesque tossed the final two innings to secure the victory. Nick Wilson led the 14-hit Saber attack with four. Jeff Kiesewetter went three for four. Aidan Casey had two hits and a pair of RBIs. Reese Colby had two hits, driving in three.


Souhegan 11,

Pembroke 1

Cameron Whitney dominated in the circle, fanning seven in a three-hit complete-game win. Whitney and Ava Vanballegooyen each smacked four hits. Jenna Speer and Carrie Speer each had two hits, and Megan Tupaj swatted a three-run home run in the sixth.

Drew Fleury scored three goals and had an assist in the win over the Tide.

Nate Campbell scored twice with an assist. Joe Bodi pitched in a gials and assist, while Connor Rowsell (goal) and Jordan Bodwell (assist) also hit the sheet. Dominic Pasquale had 14 saves for in net.

Bishop Guertin 15, Souhegan 6

The Cards leaped to a 15-0 halftime lead and never wavered. Dawson Clark netted six goals. Sean Cameron had five goals and five assists for 5-1 BG.

Chris Kiely had three goals and Alex Koutsos pitched in a single. James Heitmiller, Matt Burns and Matt Peicker combined for eight saves. Souhegan falls to 2-3.

St. Thomas 13,

Merrimack 3

The Tomahawks fall to 4-2 and try again Friday at Central.

Rileigh Bunton had 10 saves in goal, while Sarah Signorello and Morin combined for 10 draw controls. Kirsten McIntire led the way with four goals and four assists.
