High School Highlights: Nashua wrestlers triumph


Nashua South 47,

Londonderry 33

Ryan Salemi, Colby Spencer, Kyle Salemi, Drew Fleury, Tom Cullerton, Connor Goodwin, Nate Zalzel and Chris Vo all had wins for South, now 12-8 in dual meets.

Nashua North 50,

Bedford 24

The Titans took to the road and scraped together a nice win over the Bulldogs behind pins from Mickey Mathson, Isaiah Smith and Max Ackerman. Andrew Tate and Dominic Gentry scored major decisions for North.

Bishop Guertin 48,

Merrimack 31

The Cardinals continued their Division II mat domination with the win. Calvin Jozokos, Ben Stawasz, Zach Rioux, James Murphy, Matt Ha, Dan Franco, Andrew Ha and Nick Connerty scored wins by fall for BG.

Evan Torres, Griffin Ostrum and Eric Griffin had pins for the Tomahawks. Anson Dewar and Andy Almonte posted shutout decision victories.

Campbell sweeps

The Cougars drilled Portsmouth, 60-18, and also dropped Pelham by a 42-30 margin.

Robert Ladd and Tyler O’Mara each posted a pair of wins by fall, while Campbell’s Brett McInerney, Justin Gandia, David Donnelly, Matt Graveline, Jacob Oberto and Trevor O’Mara all had single pins.

Boys hockey

Bedford 8,

Bishop Guertin 3

Aidan Wilkie, Mark McGaughey and Mike Kiely had the Guertin goals.

Evan Butler had 16 saves in the losing effort for the Cardinals, now 7-10 overall and 7-7 in New Hampshire play.

Girls hockey

Keene 3

The visiting Cardinals improved to 4-8 thanks to Julie McGloughlin’s four goals.

Sarah King also played very well in net for the Cards.
